Woodland Cemetery Open House

The Woodland Restoration Foundation is showcasing the magnificent work of hundreds of volunteers from 

across the tri-city area. There will be walking tours that will highlight areas of Woodland that were blighted and are now examples of improvement. We are inviting any decendents to come out and share stories of their loved ones who are interred there. Your story will be video taped and stored in the chapel which will be converted into a museum. Family members will have an opportunity to locate the gravesites of their loved ones via an interactive map developed by students from Deep Run High School.  We encourage our community to bring your children out for this living African American history experience to celebrate the contributions of the many interred at Woodland.
